Job description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Counselor to join our team and provide comprehensive health and well-being support to students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young people, an understanding of the unique challenges facing students, and a commitment to evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing a range of issues such as stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation
  • Facilitate workshops and sessions on various health and well-being topics, such as stress management, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student well-being and success
  • Develop and implement programs to promote positive mental health and well-being within the school community
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student counseling sessions
  • Contribute to school-wide health and wellbeing initiatives and initiatives to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience providing counseling services in a school or related setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with a team and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in mental health and well-being.
