Logistics Manager [Singapore]


 

Responsible for the maintenance, repair and budget of the company vehicle fleet and management of fleet supporting staff such as deployment personnel, driver and staff deployed at designated locations outside the factory.


1. Plan, organize, direct and control activities related to procurement function.

2. Analyze contractual commitments, customer specifications and other data to develop logistics arrangements / activities.

3. Analyze site delivery conditions to resolve site problems, prepare site work procedures to ensure services provided exceed customer expectation.

4. Manage the overall operation of vehicle fleet which includes REL, Prime Movers and Lorries.

5. Schedule preventive maintenance & repairs of company vehicle fleet. Recommend vehicle for replacement, prepare specifications, raise CAPEX for approval and arrange for disposal as necessary.

6. Ensure Global Positioning System (GPS) installed in vehicles are not tempered with.

7. Investigate industrial & motor vehicle accidents related to logistics staff. Negotiate settlements, implement preventive measures and authorized repairs after Senior Management’s approval.

8. Interview, select, train, discipline and evaluate staff directly under his charge or thru subordinate staff.

9. Attend to customers’ complaints such as collection / delivery delays, faulty equipment, accident etc.

10. Select customers according to the agreed industrial ratio to participate in customer surveys. Submit survey results to Call Center.

11. Handle staff grievances, investigate into irregularities and issue commendations or warning letters to drivers & site workers.

12. Continuous effort to develop, update and implement operational procedures and practices for the logistics department.

13. Perform other related duties as directed by GM / MD.
