About Our Client
Our client is a Global FMCG company with various business lines. A well respected player boasting a strong track record historically, they are a premium brand in the industry. Consequently, they are looking to bring on board a dynamic Head of Media and Digital Services who can assist the business at a time of rapid growth and make a key contribution to the business.
Job Description
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Develop Media Strategy: Create a comprehensive media strategy that aligns with the company's marketing and business goals. This includes defining target audiences, selecting appropriate media channels, and setting campaign objectives.
Media Planning and Budgeting: Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute media campaigns across various platforms such as television, radio, print, digital, social media, and outdoor advertising. Manage media budgets effectively to maximize ROI.
Agency Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies and vendors. Evaluate their performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure delivery of quality media services.
Content Creation and Optimization: Oversee the development of creative and compelling media content that resonates with the target audience. Continuously analyze and optimize media campaigns based on performance data.
Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities. Use data-driven insights to inform media strategies and decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, creative, sales, and product development to ensure media campaigns align with overall brand positioning and messaging.
Brand Consistency: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all media channels to strengthen brand identity and recognition.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for media campaigns and regularly analyze and report on their effectiveness. Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
Stay Abreast of Media Innovations: Keep up-to-date with emerging media technologies and platforms to identify new opportunities for the company's media outreach.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimal 10 years of proven experience in media planning, buying, or related roles in the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of various media channels and their respective strengths and limitations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing media campaigns that drove tangible results.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to optimize media strategies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to manage and motivate a team of media professionals.
- Creative thinker with the ability to bring fresh ideas and innovation to media campaigns.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and delivering campaigns within budget constraints.
