Research Assistant [Australia]


 We are inviting applications from experienced research assistants to work with a dynamic team of researchers on a variety of research projects within the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Services Research (CNMHSR) in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The purpose of the Centre is to generate evidence through excellence in research that will inform clinical practice and improve outcomes for the global healthcare community.

The CNMHSR has three research groups:

Improving Outcomes for Adults with Chronic Health Conditions

Childbearing, Children and Young People

We are seeking to appoint two suitably qualified and highly motivated people to join research teams conducting a range of projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the members of these research teams. An essential component of one of these roles is to build links with three intensive care units and wards within the Perth metro area and liaise with clinical staff in relation to study participants. Registration as a nurse and/or intensive care unit experience is desirable for one of these positions but not for the other.

The role includes but is not restricted to:
Participant recruitment across three sites

Liaison with clinical sites

Data collection and analysis (qualitative and quantitative)

Maintenance of accurate project records

Contribution to reports and/or articles for publication

The role will provide a great opportunity to learn under the mentorship of experienced researchers, and develop skills, knowledge and experience in the university setting.

Benefits & Remuneration
This is a fixed term position which attracts remuneration of $75,821 to $84,254 (HEW 5) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
